Certificate IV in Transport and Distribution
(Aviation Flight Operations)
Introduction
For the career orientated student Tasair can now offer the Certificate
IV in Transport and Distrubution. Upon completion of the Certificate
you will have been trained in a variety of aviation areas, making employment
easier to come by.
Training
This course incorporates the 150-hour Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
course and involves training in three key areas:
- Flight Operations - Flight training
to CPL standard
- Customer Services - Check In, Administration,
Computer Skills
- Cargo Handling & OH&S -
Dangerous Goods Course, Baggage and Cargo Handling
The duration of the course is 12 months
full time or it can be completed on a part time basis.
On completion of the course the candidate will have logged 153 hours
of flight training and have been assessed on 28 units of competency
regarding aviation and administration practices as well as passing
theory exams for the CPL.

Upon successful completion
of the Certificate IV course most candidates will be looking
to gain employment within the aviation sector. Tasair can
help with this in a variety of ways. We can also provide
more advanced training for those looking to further their skills.
Tasair can provide training for an Initial Twin Engine Endorsment,
the Command Instrument Rating or, for those looking to pass
their skills on to others, an Instructor Rating.
